I played with a few different lenses today and just took pics of things that caught my eye...which is usually based on their color properties or a particular angle that I like.

Muted Marigold
This photo was taken over a week ago and I got to editing it this morning. Love the muted colors here!
My Family...
Only one missing is my son-in-law as he was out of town on this day. These were taken at McCormick's Creek State Park in Spencer, Indiana, last week.
Where you print does matter....
Annie, from Paint the Moon, had some great info on her blog this last week. She did a comparison of some common print processing people use here in the United States. I thought the results were interesting and they do show that it does matter where you have your prints done.

1982 Hi-Lo Camper
Getting the Hi-Lo road ready today as I see a state park in the near future. Not bad for a 29 year old camper. I believe we have had it for eleven years...not used it in five though. The decals have seen better days...wish we could get new decals to brighten it up a bit, but it works and that is all that matters. Just need to replace a few minor things inside and out. We are just regular folks who love to spend time in the woods enjoying nature...and no people! lol! A fifth wheel would be fabulous to own someday. We'll see.
McCormick's Creek State Park, Spencer, Indiana
Nothing was posted for the last week because I left my laptop at home and used my iPad2 to connect to the internet while out of town...won't do that again! It's just easier to use my own laptop instead of using a family member's. Plus, my DSLR used compact flash and they do not sync up with an iPad.
Anyhoo, here are some of the pics taken while my family & I were in southern Indiana from the 17-23rd of October. While there on Saturday, we went to the McCormick's State Park which, by the way, is gorgeous right now! We walked one of the trails down to wolf cave...Enjoy!

Sunning Dachshunds
I caught Snickers, our miniature dachshund, soaking up some sun...and watching a squirrel just beyond the fence. He darted away very soon after I took this. Timing is everything! lol!
Rocky, our piebald, decided to pose for me too.

Tuesday Oct. 10th ~Rock Bridge State Park, Columbia, Missouri
Yesterday the boys, myself and the weenies went to Rock Bridge State Park south of Columbia, Missouri. A friend skipped a class at MU and met up with us at the park. These are some of my fav pics taken yesterday.
The leaves are dropping and have changed the landscape since last week's trip to the Pinnacles. I want to catch as much as I can before it is gone for the year.
Enjoy!

Echinacea Seeds
I so enjoy my echinacea when they bloom each summer. They are so beautiful! Each falls provides so many seeds for next summer to bloom. Since we are moving, I plan to collect as many of those seeds as I can to plant in my yard to enjoy next year.

A view of fall at Teal Lake today
Our house was being shown today so I went to Teal Lake to check my email & take some pics while I waited to go back home. There wasn't the gorgeous color of Pinnacles as there aren't the same kind of trees at Teal, but I am happy with what I got.

Fall at the Pinnacles Youth Park, Columbia, Missouri
Today the boys, weenies and myself went to the Pinnacles Youth Park located just north of Columbia, Missouri, off highway 63. The color is just gorgeous right now so get your camera and head on out! We took our portable grill and cooked lunch then we walked some of the trails and took in the gorgeous fall scenery. If you have never been, you must give it a try...you won't be disappointed. Oh, it's free too. =)
Love this pic of my son, Barak, and our teenie weenie, Rocky. So much gorgeous color!! The sun was shining in this little clearing of yellow leaves on a dry creek bed. The lighting was just beautiful...love the result! I will add more photos from today as I get them processed.

Plunkett Park, Mexico, Missouri
My husband and son did some disk golfing a few days ago and I was able to catch some color of the season while I walked the course with them.
