Today my son and I arrived in Indiana to visit my daughter and her family. This picture was taken through the windshield...and a not very clean one at that! Southern Indiana is  gorgeous and the landscape is starting to look like spring. =)

Water Drops

Pic~52
On DPS, I found this tutorial (click the link above on pic title) on shooting water drops with only the materials you have at hand...this is a few shots of my attempt. Man, this is not easy! Getting the focus just right was a real challenge and I am still not happy with my results as I feel these shots are not crystal clear as they should be.

Sponge Bob....again!

My son drew this one around the same time Andrea made hers. I home schooled my kids for ten years and both of the kids took art lessons given by our neighbor and our local high school's art teacher. They entered many pieces and won many county fairs in their age category over the years.

Sponge Bob by Andrea Ingram Gerber

Pic~51
My daughter drew this pic of Sponge Bob many years ago for one of her art lessons while she was home schooled. It hangs in a large frame at the top of my stairs...I love my children's artwork! So of course, I took a pic of it! lol!

Picture 50!

Wow! Fifty pics so far...it's been interesting, fun & challenging also. My husband and I went to took at house in the country today before the owners listed it on the market. It needs a lot of updating, but doable stuff like painting and ripping off every single sheet of wallpaper...how I hate that stuff!! It has three bedrooms, plus a room downstairs for office/bedroom, family room, large living room, attached garage, unattached garage/storage building, two baths with a gorgeous deck on 20 acres! Only catch is it is 20 grand more than what we got our current home for and we'd have to sell our home in town. It was fun to look anyway! lol! Oh, it had this gorgeous pond also and supplied me with a daily blog pic.
Enjoy!

Primitive Sheep

Pic~46
I absolutely love to paint sheep...they are just so gentle and sweet looking. Here is one I painted on a wooden charger plate I found for 75% in an after Christmas sale. The pattern was by Renee Mullins...she has the most beautiful prim painting patterns! Anyway, this is a black & white version with a little color highlights.

Ready for Spring

Pic~ 41
Spring has got to be around the corner which means the snowflakes will be stored away and the spring blooms will be making their presence soon! This particular snowflake hangs on one of the drawers of a hutch in my dinning room. It holds many of my favorite dishes that once belonged to my Grandmother Bolen.

Korean Wooden Dolls

Pic~21
I have these little wooden dolls in my great grandmother's curio cabinet. They were my mother-in-law's from the 1950's during the Korean conflict. Dad gave them to me after her passing nine years ago. I so wish I knew the "story" of how she came about these little guys. The two larger ones to the left and right, have bobble heads and all are stamped on the bottom with "Korea". I love photos with color and these seemed perfect to photograph for my daily blog pic. My in-laws were missionaries in Korea for a time and Mother had many stories she shared during her time over there with two small children. They are special to me as they remind me of her. The symbol means "doll" in Korean.

Missouri Blizzard 2011

Pic~19
The first huge snowfall/blizzard hit northern Missouri today and here are a few pics taken around 4:30pm. The drifting and blowing snow is a real problem right now. I don't think we will be getting out till Thursday. The drifts in the front and back are at about two feet...at least in the areas I could get to.
