...since I've posted, but our life has been a bit turned upside down lately. Here are some pics taken the week of Thanksgiving and on the day of. Thanksgiving day here in Missouri was gorgeous and sixty degrees!! The first two are of my family and the last two are some photos of a friend's family shoot done on a not so warm day! The wind was blowing and it was around 38 degrees with wind chill, but it was a last minute kinda shoot so you go with what you have in the weather department.

Lonely Leaf
I like the soft colors of this one! It was laying on one of our patio chairs which still need to be put away for the year. Taken on my fifty lens...one of my favorite lenses.
Taken in manual RAW 1/320 sec at f/2.8, ISO 100 50 mm (EF50MM f/1.8II)

Great article on memory cards!
I found this article on ImprovePhotography.com today. It had some great info I think all photographers should know if they don't already. I found that I had not been correctly taking my photos off of my CF card till I read tip #4. I found this info helpful..I hope you will too. =)
Memory Card Tip #4: While we’re discussing how to erase all images, never erase any of the images by using the computer. This will taint your database and can cause even more errors than “Erase all images.” If you persist in erasing images by using the computer, you Canon shooters will face the famed ERR-99 (side note: that is a general error that is not specific to memory card problems, but memory card problems are one of the things that can draw the error).

Blustery Fall Day
It is just windy, cold, and wet in north central Missouri today. I hope this pic conveys a bit of that to you.
This is a pic of our neighbor's tree...so bright and beautiful! All this color will be gone soon.

Random Photos
I played with a few different lenses today and just took pics of things that caught my eye...which is usually based on their color properties or a particular angle that I like.

Muted Marigold
This photo was taken over a week ago and I got to editing it this morning. Love the muted colors here!
My Family...
Only one missing is my son-in-law as he was out of town on this day. These were taken at McCormick's Creek State Park in Spencer, Indiana, last week.
Where you print does matter....
Annie, from Paint the Moon, had some great info on her blog this last week. She did a comparison of some common print processing people use here in the United States. I thought the results were interesting and they do show that it does matter where you have your prints done.

1982 Hi-Lo Camper
Getting the Hi-Lo road ready today as I see a state park in the near future. Not bad for a 29 year old camper. I believe we have had it for eleven years...not used it in five though. The decals have seen better days...wish we could get new decals to brighten it up a bit, but it works and that is all that matters. Just need to replace a few minor things inside and out. We are just regular folks who love to spend time in the woods enjoying nature...and no people! lol! A fifth wheel would be fabulous to own someday. We'll see.
