Huzzah River in Southern Missouri

A few weeks ago, my family, and some friends, went down to southern Missouri to enjoy the Huzzah River. It is located just south of Cuba, Missouri. About two miles down the road from the Huzzah Valley Resort, we found a nice place off the mail road. The river is spring fed, clear, clean & cool! The temps that day hit about a hundred degrees so the water was especially nice for us to cool off. I took our portable grill some burgers/dogs for our lunch to cut down on trip expenses. We had a blast just floating and enjoying our time together! Our hope is to go back and camp in this area and in some of the others springs found about an hour further south in the Ozark National Scenic Riverways park. The waters are so clear and clean! I can't say that enough...a must to see if you live anywhere in Missouri. Our dachshunds didn't even smell from being in the river...it was that clean!

Here are a few pics to show you the beauty of this area.
Enjoy!

Lace in the Sunlight

I love seeing Queen Ann's Lace growing at this time of year so while on one of our regular "early morning beat the heat walks" yesterday, I clipped some and brought it home to take a picture of it...of course. =)
