Andy Warhol Daffodil

Okay, I felt like being creative in Lightroom tonight and this is the result. I came home from being gone last week to find three daffodil blooms in my backyard and here is one of them in many colorful shades. =)

My husband returned from a trip to Kansas for a revival he did in Grenola. As you see, he brought a bit of Kansas back with him. ;) I needed a daily blog pic anyway!

After church Taco Bell run...this one is for you, Hannah!

Pic~67
Barak and I had Taco Bell after church for supper this evening on this our last evening of his spring break together. He is fortunate that Snickers didn't snag a bit of his crunch wrap! lol! This daily blog photo is being dedicated to my niece, Hannah, as she, like my son, LOVES Taco Bell.

It was a fabulous week spent in Indiana with my kids and adorable grandson...God is so good!!

Friday, March 25, 2011 ~ Easter Cutie!

Pic~65

Here comes Peter cotton tail...hopping down the bunny trail...well, sorta. ;) This is my grandson and I made a make-shift studio with the help of an editing program to make the black cloth come out really black and a bit of help with the cloning brush. If my helper had held the cloth up a bit higher, I wouldn't have had to "fix" this! ;) I'll get the "studio" stuff as soon as I can, but until then you make do with what you have on hand. =)

Before.....no editing, right out of the camera. Someone dropped the cloth!

Here is the After with photo editing and some clean-up work. =)

Saturday, March 26, 2011 ~ Back to Missouri!

Pic~66
Time to go back to Missouri and along our way we stopped at Bowling Green, Indiana (not Kentucky, Missouri or Illinois ;) to take a few pics. We saw this tractor along the road for sale so I had my son pose for me and I found these lovely daffodils too. We saw so many just growing here and there. I love spring flowers...gorgeous!

Traveling in southern Indiana

Pic~64
Took this while traveling through Bloomfield, Indiana today on our way to Plainville, Indiana...that was interesting. Seeing the old homestead was a tad depressing as the current owners have seriously ruined what was a nice home. On a brighter note, we got to visit and eat a most yummy lunch with some very dear friends!

This mural has been on this building for many years in our traveling around southern Indiana...I felt I needed to get a photo of it while I could as the paint is peeling a bit now.

Spring in Indiana

Pic~63
The trees here in southern Indiana are showing signs of green today.

Don't put off taking pictures...till some day.

This story was posted by an Indy photographer recently and I really liked the message she had about not putting off taking pictures of your family as your life could be changed in an instant.

Spring break in beautiful southern Indiana!

Pic~61
Today my son and I arrived in Indiana to visit my daughter and her family. This picture was taken through the windshield...and a not very clean one at that! Southern Indiana is  gorgeous and the landscape is starting to look like spring. =)

St. Patty's Day

Pic~59
Thursday, March 17th
Today the weather was partly sunny and 80 degrees. The weenies loved being in the yard...the grass is getting greener now. Rocky is the piebald (black, white tan) and Snickers is my black and tan dachshund. It looks like spring is just around the corner!

Water Drops

Pic~52
On DPS, I found this tutorial (click the link above on pic title) on shooting water drops with only the materials you have at hand...this is a few shots of my attempt. Man, this is not easy! Getting the focus just right was a real challenge and I am still not happy with my results as I feel these shots are not crystal clear as they should be.

Sponge Bob....again!

My son drew this one around the same time Andrea made hers. I home schooled my kids for ten years and both of the kids took art lessons given by our neighbor and our local high school's art teacher. They entered many pieces and won many county fairs in their age category over the years.

Sponge Bob by Andrea Ingram Gerber

Pic~51
My daughter drew this pic of Sponge Bob many years ago for one of her art lessons while she was home schooled. It hangs in a large frame at the top of my stairs...I love my children's artwork! So of course, I took a pic of it! lol!

Picture 50!

Wow! Fifty pics so far...it's been interesting, fun & challenging also. My husband and I went to took at house in the country today before the owners listed it on the market. It needs a lot of updating, but doable stuff like painting and ripping off every single sheet of wallpaper...how I hate that stuff!! It has three bedrooms, plus a room downstairs for office/bedroom, family room, large living room, attached garage, unattached garage/storage building, two baths with a gorgeous deck on 20 acres! Only catch is it is 20 grand more than what we got our current home for and we'd have to sell our home in town. It was fun to look anyway! lol! Oh, it had this gorgeous pond also and supplied me with a daily blog pic.
Enjoy!

Snowing on Mickey

Pic~48
Random pic of a snow globe I found sitting around the house today. I used manual mode on this one too as I wanted to have more control of my lighting...even caught the snow before it all fell to the bottom.

Primitive Sheep

Pic~46
I absolutely love to paint sheep...they are just so gentle and sweet looking. Here is one I painted on a wooden charger plate I found for 75% in an after Christmas sale. The pattern was by Renee Mullins...she has the most beautiful prim painting patterns! Anyway, this is a black & white version with a little color highlights.
