Here in north central Missouri, we were fortunate to have a very nice warm day of 70°. My family and I went for a walk and enjoyed some of the outdoors. Here are a few pics taken along the way.

Crazy Squirrels
Well, I had a bird feeder for birds...but the squirrels figured out how to get a snack too! They chewed the line holding my feeder up on a chain so I had to put the feeder on the patio table till the feeder gets fixed. Darn squirrels!!

Backyard Wildlife

The bird feeder was very popular on this last day of January. I think they were stocking up for the big blizzard too.

Critter Prints

The snow was melting off a bit today as we got up to 40 degrees...these critter prints were still in the snow though.1/320 sec at F/11, ISO 200

Frozen Wind Chimes
Pic 13~
I was scrounging for subject matter today! Trying to come up with new ideas is a challenge, but I am enjoying it! Here in north central Missouri, we have received more snowfall than average and with the temps just getting over freezing there are icicles hanging from every roof it seems. I caught these hanging down from a wind chime that I didn't remove before the cold stuff arrived. It made for something different anyway.1/320 sec at f/2.8, ISO 1250

The Nut Gatherer
Pic 12~
While on my lunch hour today, I found this little guy eating his lunch too. I put some squirrel food in the bird bath as we have many squirrels that live in our oak trees. From this picture, it looks like he is taking some for a snack later! These furry little tree rats drive my teenie weenies nuts! lol!

Teal Lake, Mexico, Missouri
Pic 6 ~ Frozen Beauty
Another cold day in Missouri with about eight inches of snow on the way...again. It's been cold enough to freeze the lakes over so the geese have been leaving their prints in the snow/ice. The temperature was about ten degrees this afternoon when I took this, but the sun was shining with no wind so it was a nice moment to take a few shots. Of the dozen or so I took, I liked this one best as it shows the gorgeous blue sky!

Pic 1 ~ A view from my part of the world...
This is my first post on my photography blog! My goal is to take a picture every day for the rest of the year. Here is my first one! I went out yesterday to get some pics of some Canadian geese who are wintering at a local lake. Gorgeous birds!
I am wanting to challenge myself with a new photo everyday, or close to that, till the beginning of next year. Here is my first photo!
Enjoy!
